Summer motorcycle gear on the cheap?

I just got my first bike for a long time and need some gear for summer. It is not unusual for the temp to be 100+ degrees on my way to work and 65 degrees on the way home (2nd shift). I need to do this on the cheap for now. Looking for recommendations on jacket, gloves, and pants that are also good in case of rain. Thanks in advance.
Sorry, I forgot to mention I commute about 40 miles on the interstate at 65mph one way.

you use whatever you want or feel like it man…. here i wear shorts and a tank top…..here also 100 + in the day but its been in the 90’s at nite… i just wear my plain old leathers when cold and if it rains i dont get that wet…. and ive rode mine across the states west coast east coast four or five times they all about the same….so it just depends on what you want to buy or wear

You can shop around to find a jacket similar to A Joe Rocket Phoenix. This is an armored mesh and works well. I went down at 55mph wearing mine and can attest to its protective ability. My gloves are alpine star, same story, armored mesh. I wear an HJC 5/8 helmet and feel protected. What ever summer helmet u choose the wind must blow up and under it to cool. Forget all the hi tech weeney holes the factory’s put in. To work those holes would have to be about 3 inches in diameter. I’m in Arizona and 110 isn’t uncommon here.
Yes you said cheap, good luck. Cheap is a Levi jacket and Lamont wells mule gloves and there is NO acceptable cheap helmet. Perhaps you can find a used cycle gear place – some dealers do carry a used rack and it is cheap.
Good luck, cheap and cycle is a hard sentence to write.

They sell clearance stuff that is new. I would recommend jackets with removable liners. Or buy a summer jacket and a nike ‘undershirt’. Buy 2 pairs of gloves, light and heavy.
Rain, that’s another story. Maybe a rainsuit?

I also ordered a really nice mesh jacket made my Fieldsheer, with back, spin, shoulder, and elbow pads and a waterproof liner, it was only $89.99 with free shipping. I went to a shop locally and same jacket was $149.99. Plus they do price guarantees and say its wrong size, no biggy, return and swap it. Also bought 2 great helmets there for under $150
